Kindra

“Weight training saved my life. Twice.“
Suffering from severe anorexia nervosa at 20, I used weight training to rebuild an emaciated body and craft a sense of self that was strong and confident. Suffering from obesity in my early 30’s, I returned to the gym after two post-graduate degrees, building and running a small business, raising a family, and caring for a loved one with cancer had left me overwhelmed, and once again, disconnected from myself.
The second time I turned to the gym, I used circuit training and high intensity interval training to lose more than 60 pounds. Along the way, I reconnected with the “me” that is strong and powerful, independent, playful and happy. I also reconnected with an old, forgotten aspiration: to become a personal trainer and help other people to experience the transformative power of claiming responsibility for your own health and fitness.
Now a trainer, I view my job as helping my clients to achieve their health and fitness goals from the inside out. I remind them how to fight for themselves, and I give them the tools, knowledge, and support that, in combination with their unique personal power and hard work, will put all of their goals and dreams squarely within their reach.
